Ive never tried it...are you hoping for an awake effect or an asleep effect...or both??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,439 ✭✭✭✭El Guapo!

Joe Rogan is involved with that company.
He's always banging on about it in his podcasts.
I haven't tried it but let us know if its any good!

    Oooh interesting!

What does it do that caffeine doesn't do?

looks like it will help you on boards too Hanley:

Never used it though skeptical of its effectiveness.

Could possibly put the cool dreams down to the tyrosine. Other than that seems like several NT precursors (choline and tyrosine that I recognise from my college days).

Not sure how well they'd even cross the BBB though open to correction on that.

Still though, you'll never know 'till you try!

I would be interested in seeing how well this synergises with my Power Balance(TM).

I have been reading up on nootropics recently it's interesting stuff. What site did you use? I think you will make an excellent guinea pig :)

I got some stuff from Onnit recently, really liked the Hemp Force protein although it's expensive for the amount you get, the Shroom Tech stuff seems to work pretty well for me too but I've taken Alpha Brain a few times and haven't felt any real change. Would love to get some of the kettle bells and battle ropes but the shipping is prohibitive.

Just curious, how did you hear about it? Was it from Joe Rogan? I'v heard him talk about it loads on his podcast and I'v been tempted to try it myself. Could be great to take before going into interviews/exams and the like. Let us know how it goes.

Kettle bells and ropes are available a lot closer to home

Been looking into nootropics a good bit lately and would be interested to see how you get on. They're not big at all over here but it's a fairly big market over in the US. If you get any stomach discomfort by the way it could be down to the tyrosine, I've had a few people complain about it to me before.

    Keep us posted,
    Oisín

I'd love to see people use those KBs for anything other than swings or as a paperweight.

I've been using it since August 2012.

    I have noticed the difference.

    Shroomtech Sport is excellent!

With something like this it's very hard to evaluate objectively. The placebo effect will be strong if you think it's working, you'll feel more confident and have greater belief in your mental abilities and as a result probably will preform better.

I have a few friends, very smart and successful that have been taking Piracetam and they all swear by it.

    Any update Hanley?

Always heard about it on the JRE :)

Having used it for the last 7 months or so I would say than it does make my thought process more fluid.

Hanley is your brain jacked yet?

I haven't tried AlphaBrain but have tried Choline bitartrate and Aniracetam taken together over a period of a couple of months before recent exams. Aniracetam is from the same family as the aforementioned Piracetam, though I'm not sure which is considered the more potent and I haven't tried the latter.

It seemed to have a subtle effect whereby I found it it slightly easier to concentrate (and less distracted) while studying very dull subject matter. That said, it could be put down to placebo or a change in study environment, but my gut feeling is that it gave me a wee nudge in the right direction without any discernible change in awareness or mental state.
