Whiteout in Citywest, constant moderate to heavy snow. Wind has died down a bit so it's pretty much coming straight down.

confirm, road in carpark has turned from greyslush to white again. Glad I didn't park down the bottom of the carpark ramp!

Err I'm not so sure. Have you actually seen measured lying snow greater than 5cm widely?

That warning was issued yesterday. Valid until midday.

I don't believe there is widespread >5cm acc. Anyone want to post pics to prove otherwise? A ruler in lying snow, away from the mountains.

They were spot on (Met Eirean) as far as I can see

In fairness what they actually said was "with some small accumulations on low levels and possibly 3-5 cm on high ground". I'm not on high ground and got at least 5cm. I'm not blaming them though, it's a thankless task trying to predict snow accumulations.

light to moderate snow after a very heavy snow shower. Pity it didn't stick around for longer, round two seems to be going towards Bray.

Awesome snow shower now in navan. It's been snowing now for two days and thankfully it's not sticking. Nice accumulations on the grass though.

Thats true but it is nice to look at, easing off but still falling, one good burst could set us up.

That shower that initially hit Dalkey and then moved onto Bray was crazy (intensity wise). Definitely in the top three of the heaviest falling snow I've seen in my life. Left a dusting here but has obviously melted.

Barely snowing in Citywest anymore, no sun though so the snow isn't going anywhere just yet.

What do the experts on here predict then after that weather warning , is after dark tonight now the best chance of some lying snow ??
