Sneaky Superquinn sausage situation.

I love Superquinn sausages. They are superior to most of the others, the likes of Denny and Galtee.

This weekend I got the 'breakfast deal' which consists of a packet of the sausages, a pack of rashers and a pack of pudding for a fiver. The deal is worth it, a big fry with the stuff is heaven on a plate.

Here's the problem: I noticed the pack of sausages only had eight in it, and the label indicated the same. It used to have nine in it, a pack of eight Superquinn sausages is news to me. How long has this been going on? How much are they making with the sneaky removal of one sausage from the pack?

If they are being sold by weight, and the weight has stayed the same then you are benefiting from a thicker sausage.

Lack of other vital ingredients in Post 1

I'm concerned for the quality of this fry OP

The Superquinn ones come in packs of six, nine or twelve. I'm going to investigate whether they are in fact a larger girth but the same weight. My theory is the pack of eight is only for the breakfast deal.

Ah now here. Obviously we had fried eggs, tomatoes, potato cakes and McCambridges too, washed down with good strong mugs of tea. I'm only referring to the meat section of the fry in my first post.

The ninth sausage is always eaten by the person who cooks them. You obviously have to check they're all cooked properly so you eat one sneakily.. just to make sure.

    I thought everbody knew that

If you have 3 people they get 3 each, not too hard.

Do you always have even numbered people eating sausage?

I have never understood the popularity of Superquinn's Sausages.

In my opinion they are alright, nothing special.

But if you say that to some people they get more offended than if you slagged off their Mother.

Damn these misleading thread titles, thought someone was trying to slip you their sneaky sausage in Superquinn.

Couldn't care less how many sausages are in their packs, I can't afford anything from Superquinn anyway :pac:

you can't afford a fiver for sausages/rashers/pudding combo?

there's enough eating in that for 1 person for 3-4 days!

    This.

After hearing tales being told on boards of unbelieveable superquinn sausages i decided to venture in one day and pick up a pack expecting great things.
To say i was disapointed is an understatement. Complete arse is all the talk about how great they are.

Of course I can afford it, I bought it. My issue is the deal used to contain nine sausages and now only has eight, despite being the same price. I don't buy stuff I can't afford, like most normal people.
And there's two of us eating it, not just me.

It's their one pack of black sausage that does it for me :).

I love a nice thick sausage in my mouth. Same with the pudding, a nice black one is my favourite.

See I told you,one sausage is going to waste if you have nine.

No, our little lass gets one to eat. So the ninth sausage works for our family, eight leads to conflict.

But wat do u do with the rashers if there are 3 people having this deal for breakfast? There's 5 of them, damn odd numbers!

There is a suspicious trend of people hating on Superquinn who live pretty far from one, its basic jealously. They can't have what is not convenient for them to purchase so instead they spread vicious rumours about the quality of said establishment, this is a sick trend people we must stand up to these trolls,

On a sausage note, I think a few well placed comments on their facebook page could lead to the mysterious 9th Banger being replaced.
