Buying pre reg'd cars: much wiggle room

I was looking at a pre registered car a few weeks back. The dealer was offering a discount of 1000€ off list price as it was a pre registered car.

It was a Fiat 500 POP and was now for sale for 13995. Is there much more space to negotiate more off this?

I know they get a bonus hence they register the cars at months end. I just don't understand the bonus system.

From looking at pre registered cars in the UK they seem to give thousands off the list price.

I'd be looking for more tbh for being the second owner, not choosing the spec you want etc. Unrelated but my father bought a new car in Jan, was registered as a dealer demo but he picked it up an hour after it was registered saving himself 4k in the process. He ordered it months before and came to an arrangement with the dealer at the time for them to demo it for additional discount.

I missed out on that MC.

That's the kind of discount I'm used to seeing in the UK. I don't expect 4K off a Fiat 500 though as it's a smaller list price to start with but as I'm going in with a straight deal I'd expect a nice sweetener.

Ah I know, this was dealer discount on a 30k kia, I'd imagine a pre registered car should have more than a grand off though regardless of the price.

Margins though affect things too but surely at this stage there should be something decent on a 500?
