Ideas for making a computer desk more funky?

Hey guys, I cant find any good computer desk that looks kinda cool in Ireland. I dont really have the wood working skills or tools to craft one myself but I was wondering if anyone saw any cool easy to do ideas to make one look a little better. like this obviously looks like a huge amount of work.. but you get the idea…

Mainly a gaming station so as long as the theme is futuristic/sci fi/ steam punk ish or something relevant!

This would be easy enough to copy.

I also like this one made from what looks like aluminium scaffolding.
