    Hi All,
We have a nestor Martin stove with a backboiler feeding our hot water cylinder only. The water has gotton very hot and has damaged the seals on the water pump on the output of the cylinder. Does anyone have information on a mixer valve I can attach to the output of the cylinder 3/4 inch pipe. I do not want to damage my new pump.
    Thanks Sean

You need a thermostatic mixing valve on your cylinder something like this
    http://www.rwc.co.uk/products/thermostatic-mixing-valves-tmv/23-heatguard-dual-tmv2-3.

Do your homework though because most of them are high pressure and will not work very well on a gravity system.

Esbe valves are best. They will work on low pressure down to 0.1 bar.
Why is the stove getting water so hot, is it not giving most of the heat to the rads?

Thanks for the replies lads, researching the mixers alright. Shane the stove is only connected to the cylinder not big enough for thr rads as well unfortunately

Might be no harm to put a couple of rads off the stove as a heat dump

Sounds like stove is way over-sized for cylinder, so either change cylinder to larger one or as Dtp79 says, run a few rads off it. Have them as additional rads in a couple of rooms that are used.
