Love wearing hair tied up, hate scutty ponytail....

Hi, I have slightly longer than chin-length very fine hair. I like to tie it up but I'm left with a scutty pony tail. My hair is too fine to grow it long and I don't have enough hair to use a donut. Any ideas on how to disguise it?

I have similar hair so i put it up in a ponytail, then i roughly back comb the ponytail to give it a little volume and then start to make the shape of a messy bun just pinning the hair to my head as i please. It works really well ive even been asked had i a donut in my hair the bun was so big. It's very easy and takes 5mins.

Thanks to you both. Gonna try your suggestion stargirl.gra until I can get to my local Penneys, hopefully I can get a colour match.
