Gleann na Ri Apartments,self catering?Good or bad?

Looking at spending 3 or 4 nights exploring Galway and surrounding area in July.Just myself,wife and 6 month old son.Hotels seem expensive so looking at good value,nice,clean self catering.Gleann na Ri seem ok,got a decent quote from them.Are they nice apartments?The fact that they're used as student accomodation during the year kinda makes me think they may be grubby and smelly!Opinions anyone??

Since the students are away you won't get the usual noise pollution.
Tbh, I don't think it'll be an issue with cleaning, flats are inspected before tourists arrive.
It's too far to walk but there's buses or you can just drive.

I've booked them for relations visiting Galway, and they were very clean and quiet.

Fine during the summer. 409 bus into town is very frequent. Not a great deal in the area itself.

I'll have the car so don't mind driving into town.They look decent enough on the net,still might hold off for a while yet before booking.Is there any other decent,good value self catering places in or around the Galway area that I should check out?

Cheers biko.That donegan court was €575 per week which is very pricey.I'm only looking for 3 or 4 nights and I reckon most places only do a Saturday to a Saturday.I'll keep on looking around the net anyway.If anyone knows somebody with self catering house/apartment,feel free to send then my way.

Also, consider Salthill for the choice or restaurants, bars, amenities and views.

Yes, that's why I'm going the week before arts festival and race week is end of July.
