Unbelievable co-workers compassion and solidarity.

I’v just been victim of unbelievable co-workers compassion and solidarity.
Last Friday at work during lunch we were having a kick around out in the yard when, bearing down on goals I tripped over a loose bit of concrete and fell heavily.
I look at my knee and through a hole in my trousers could see a bloody gash in my knee.
It stung straight away and I knew my knee was badly injured.
Everyone gathered round and 2 of the lads lifted me and helped me up to the canteen.
There they got one of the office girls to tend me.
She gently took my knee and cleaned it with antiseptic, which stung but I didn’t flinch.
She said I was very brave as she stripped of the protection that was on the plaster and applied it to my knee.
She then filled out the accident report as required by H&S and sent me on my way.
Later the boss called a meeting where instead of banning football in the yard, it was voted 12 to 2 that if he wasn’t there to supervise us and make sure we didn’t run too fast then we would be able to play football.
All weekend I was getting texts asking for my knee and wondering if I was able to go drinking but unfortunately had to do family stuff.
Have you ever witnessed this kind of compassion and solidarity at work and would it be unique to Ireland?

Years ago when working in a large manufacturing plant, I sprayed farting gas into the ventilation system.

About fifty lads chased after me and threw me into a steel drum they'd already sprayed with the farting gas they found, then they sat on the lid til I nearly passed out with the smell.

On a similar note- black cat bangers and people of a nervous disposition do not mix! I think the guy might have managed to kick an eighth color out of me and all! :pac:
