Is a camisole much support?

M&S do camis with hidden support, don't know how good they are.

I tried one on a couple of years ago and they were pretty terrible. Especially if it was cold

They could have improved since then but they used to not be good back then.

The ones with a shelf bra support very little at all. The ones with a built-in underwired bra are a bit better, but still not as good as actually wearing a proper bra.

Depends on the person, I guess.

I'm a DD/E cup, but my boobs really don't look that size (in my opinion!), and I'm perfectly comfortable wearing a regular string top/cami under my clothes.

The run of the mill camisoles are terrible for giving a nice shape. The ones which are any way decent would almost be falling into body shaper territory. I'd leave them for a lazy day, but if you're wearing something which is any way fitted, wear a proper bra. Especially if the material is thin, to... retain your modesty...!

I have a couple of M&S camis, and I wear them in place of string tops under low-cut dresses. I'm only a B-cup, but there's no support in them whatsoever and I definitely need a bra underneath.

Is a camisole much support?
