was in a clothes shop the other day and wanted 1 item but left with 3, spent over 300 euro, the guy working there was a great sales man to be fair (cant beat a good sales man)just wondering was this guy on commission, what do you guys think?

on the issue of sales people, I was in topman in grafton street the same day, was shocked at their sales staff, there was a woman and man working there, foreigners like polish id guess. anyway they blanked me, had to chase the guy and even when I did, he seemed like he didn't want to help me, I actually had to ask him did he work there.

A homeless student who can spend 300 yos on designer clothing?
    Time to cut the grant!

Some earn commission, it depends on the store.

Is this a genuine question or an opportunity to rant about 'foreign' workers? I love how so many people assume 'foreigners' are all Polish.

Odd, you bash one shop naming a nationality and the shop brand that didn't help you yet you don't say the name or nationality of the shop and staff member that did, weird.

Usually only phone shop or Sky reps, to be honest.

No, generally they don't get commission. They do get targets though, with a lot of implied or overt threats to their job security if they don't meet them.

I was having a laugh. They are cutting the grants and it is despicable. We won't improve our economy by restricting education to the children of the rich.
Anyhow, on with the show. Tell us more about your shopping.

Womens' high street fashion shops apparently do.

Supermarkets and convenience stores generally don't.

In between will be mix and match. :pac:
