Getting rid of bath and putting in wetroom instead - good or bad?

I'm thinking of getting rid of the bath - in my one bathroom home - and installing a wetroom instead.

Would this negatively affect the resale value of the property?

Yes and no, famlies with young kids will look for a bath, single professionals may like to have a trendy wet room.

You have a shower and the next person using the loo has to walk in on wet floor really bad ides if you only have one bath room

Is it on a ground floor or first floor? Wet room on wooden floors on first floor would be tricky enough job to be perfect imo.

first floor used marine ply and tanked the floor

Is it possible for you to create a walk in shower instead? The shower tray could be 1400mm by 1000m for example, with a glass partition. That way the overall scheme of the bathroom is not disrupted by the shower and you also avoid the major expense of the installation of the wet room, this could be invested instead in a top of the range pumped rain fall shower for example.
