    Will do. In the meantime, none of my friends who are minorities of various sorts would appreciate me making a talking point of every vicissitude they face. Some of them would be openly insulted.

    Work and a better life. I don't think he always hated them but I think the last Iraq war was the straw that broke the camels back and perhaps the anti-Islam feeling in the country at the time...I honestly don't know.     In the press? When was the last time you saw an Irish newspaper post something offensive to Muslims?
    Online? Check out AH and the forums in the religion section on this very site. There's no way you could argue that Muslims are being singled out. In fact, i'd say they get nowhere near as much attention.
    On the street? Again, the people who'd do what you describe would do the exact same to any minority group, not just Muslims.

    To be honest I think alot of people can be a little like that, behaving as if they really hate something, saying they do, even getting rather excited about it but in actual fact not really giving a toss about it.... just using it as an outlet to vent.The real issues lie elsewhere.

    no, I have no desire to start a new thread. You seem to have been offended by someone elses good wishes because they happen to contain the word "god". If they used Allah would it be ok?

    Who knows. He also lives in the Deep South which is not known for it's tolerance so perhaps it just got to him. I'd obviously try to find some justification for it as he's my uncle but perhaps he really does just hate them! I dunno. :)

    I used to know some Muslim girls who were serious party animals. Would drink me under the table (and hell I'm half cut right now just because its Tuesday).

    Anyhow I mostly found that randomers just drooled over them being hotties and treated them like any other hotties - funnily enough I doubt anyone asked them what their religion was.

    Anywhos......what were we talking about here again.......:confused:
