    There are currently 4 families of mobile Intel dual core processors: Atom, Celeron, Pentium and Core (quad Core i7 are identified by the suffix QM).

    If you want to know the performance, look up the exakt model on Passmark (e.g. Pentium B960 or Core i3 3110M).

    The above benchmarks only reflect the CPU power. Although both are Ivy Bridge processors, the Pentium only comes with Intel HD 2500 graphics while Core processors feature Intel HD 4000 graphics and the difference here is quite significant.
