Car rental with Visa Debit

Hi there, I will be travelling to Geneva, Switzerland in May and plan to rent a car. I can't use my credit card at the moment. Has anyone had a successful experience renting a car with any agency in Geneva with a Visa Debit card? Thanks, Christa

Cant comment on Geneva but I did rent a car with Enterprise in New York with a visa debit card and it was fine. Depends on the company to be honest

Usually its only possible if you take the maximum insurance and leave a deposit.
