i know what it means, they shouted ****, i didn't want to state it here as graphically, i was wondering what cambridge had to do with it.

One of the candidates, I guess.

Nearly egged walking home through the Elms on Monday,
Luckily the two lads were blind drunk,
Still too close for comfort though...
Saw a group of students a little further up then in reflective jackets,
Guessing "Clean up crew" kind of thing...
    Felt sorry for them,
    If they are getting paid,
    It's not nearly enough,
    And if it's voluntary,
The feeling of accomplishment must be great to combat the shlt you go through to get it...

is there any point in going to security? getting licence plate number? go to guards? or look it up yourself. I'd love to get a few by the throat.

Might be worth a go, but I wouldn't hold my breath. They barely have CCTV in the car parks, chances of them being able to find the car are slim. Couldn't hurt to ask though, might bring the twats down a peg or two if they were caught.

Depending how long ago it happened,
They do tend to do laps of the place for a while,
If you let the guards know might pull them over on their travels..
    Can't stand egging people...
    Beyond childish...
Egging objects I can understand to an extent,
But not something that someone is wearing,
And has to walk home in afterwards..
    Children the lot of them..

Why do you not just use 1 full stop?

    It's a poem.

    Apologies.
I feel the need to make up for the full stops most others leave out...
Also full stops alone look too serious,
    Didn't mean to annoy,
    And I'm a poet... :P

I find I end up reading the posts like they're a really long haiku!

Put them like that to make it easier to read!

Much easier to read when it's spaced out,
Rather than in an over facing block... :P

I'd disagree. It's confusing to have to shift your eyes to a new line mid sentence

Afraid we'll have to agree to disagree on this,
Find big blocks of texts much harder to read,
    And much less inviting.
    But each to their own.

I always find reading your posts, regardless of what they're on, tend to relax me...

It may have something to do with the poetry-esque structure. :P

You're punctuating your paragraphs with carriage returns, it's simply poor etiquette.

I think everyone is right on this.

The comma, new paragraph, and the capital letter at the start is unnatural. When I read it I find myself taking a triple pause rather than a single one.

Ye're all wrong. Don't listen to 'em Chris! :)

    Back to bitching:

For some reason I can't access the internet on the PC's in CSIS. It'll let me access files in the dmz or CSIS' own sites, but won't let me get on Google or any other sites...

Very, very, VERY irritating when you need to look up stuff to see how it works.

Again, each to their own and I'll leave it at that.
Reflex at this stage and don't see it changing soon.
When it comes to assignments though I assure you everything's grammatically correct.

    On a related note,
I cannot wait to finish this fcuking assignment!
Deadline tomorrow morning, has taken me much longer than expected.
Alcohol free Charity week, had a feeling before it started actually.

Had a lecture interrupted by three guys in mankinis. Running around, yelling like a bunch of fools. Could have socked them.

Thats was probably me in the high vis. Were "M+M's".We got €8.65 an hour between 6-3am to ensure things were okay between studetns and residents in Elm Park, Milford Grange, Briarfield, and College Court.

To be honest, I enjoyed the work. The drunk people were the best part, the worst was between 12-2 every night nothing happened. Some people saw us as clean up crew and felt sorry for us and others thought we were "student police" and got angry. We really had no power to stop anyone littering or causing trouble, just warn them that the guards were around the corner. Pretty funny actually when some drunk pr*** tells you to F*** off and a guard hands him a €90 on the spot fine for having an open bottle. We also got free pizza from Papa Johns...some nights were rough, others easy money!

Back in my day it was €12 an hour and a lot of free stuff to hand out! But yeah, it's handy money. I didn't do it this year cos I just took rag week too far!

Yeah I heard that from others doing it, im a fresher so I was glad to get paid, really wanted free stuff to hand out because everyone was asking. Some lad was wearing a high vis in one of the houses and was pretty mouldy. He came out said "Ive got this house lads". It was brilliant because we called back later and the party was mental and he was still pretending to be one of us.

Sorry yeah, it does a bit. I mean it gives the residents peace of mind to know there's students out there trying to quell the storm of drunks and general havoc wreakers during rag week and the first 3 weeks back in college. I mean they don't exactly do much except stand around, try and tell people to be quiet (despite having no authority) & just clean the place up a bit from cans and stuff. They used to give out condoms and m&ms & lollipops (the idea was that someone sucking a lollipop couldn't shout) but the SU have had so many cutbacks that this doesn't happen anymore. If any trouble arises they have the guards number on speed dial and that's pretty much it. They're there just to make the University look like it cares about residents really...
