do aib employess get free banking with their aib accounts

    does anyone know if you are an employee of AIB, do you get free banking of you have an AIB current account...no account fees/charges etc...

    I assume they do some sort of perk like cheaper loans etc

    I would say all banks give free banking and other such discounts to their staff, sure why not!

    Yep. Free banking is pretty much the only perk left for staff but I'd imagine they will get rid of it like they did with the prefferential staff mortgage rates and staff loans. Banks are no longer competetive employers for obvious reasons. Some would go so far as to say that they are doing their best to get rid of staff through natural attrition so that they don't have to offer any more redundancy packages, hence the withdrawl of all the perks.

    I work for Aib and yes we get free banking but same as the other banks but we still have to pay stamp duty on cards and interest etc
    There is no preferrial Rate for mortgages and loans anymore
