Key Broken in Lock, bike stuck

Had a bit of lock drama today, the key broke in the lock and I can’t find the spare so my bike is now securely locked up and I can’t get it loose. It’s a decent chain lock and Idon’t think a hammer and chisel will do the trick.

Is there anywhere in Dublin City Centre that rents out large bolt cutters or a battery angle grinder or even a cheap locksmith that can callout and remove the lock?

Any help appreciated

Stick a big sign saying 'Steal me' on it.
Wait for criminal to come and break lock.
When he gets the lock off, take your bike and run.

Profit???

If you call into the local Fire Station or ring 999 and ask them nicely they might go and open your lock, they might insist the local Gardai are there too to verify your identity before opening the lock.

For the love of god do not ring 999 for something like that. Time wasting!

You wouldn't believe what people ring for. Have cut many bike locks, handcuffs, opened car doors, cut off rings etc down the years. If they are not too busy or it's not too much hassle there'd be no problem. Maybe don't ring 999 but call into Tara st fire station and ask.
