Belmullet/Bangor Erris River Salmon Fishing?

    Hey guys moving up the area in the coming weeks and just wondering is there any good spring salmon fishing to be had on the rivers in the area? i know on one the owenmore is it hard to get on this river/prices? i no its fly only so that's what i will be fishing. any more information would be great.cheers Ross.:D

    Lovely part of the world that you are moving to.

    The Owenduff is a better spring river but may be a little bit pricy to fish, still worth checking out.

    Glenamoy is not too far away and fishes better for Grilse rather than springers.

    Have a look at Glenisland Co-op on Beltra and especially CArrowmore lake, two of the best lakes in the country for springers.

    Second Carrowmore Lake, well worth a chuck - good springers from March-June, and when the sea trout fishing fires in summer it can be spectacular. Call into the West End bar in Bangor and talk to Seamus Henry the owner, he does permits and boat hire..

    I was looking at the site for bangor erris lake no mention of pricing any idea on how much a days fishing would cost salmon licence already purchased for the year.thanks
