How much grass for Weanling?

    Lads, have 6 weanlings to go out to grass as soon as land dries up:cool:
    Would 10 acres be enough for the 6 of them (average age would be 4 months in early March)? Or is this too big an area for them? Grass cover is reasonable.

    10 acres would be way too much for 6 four month olds. its out with the electric fence and round baler or buy another few.
    If the grounds anyway half decent you could run the same on it again and still take enough silage to winter them.

    If land is of fairly good quality you should be able to run all 6 on three acres split into 4-6 little paddocks from Mid April to July. 10 acres would take 20 weanlings if split in paddocks or would keep 12ish if only split in two.
