    It's depressing enough all right.

Best book the I.M.F. for their next monumental economic **** up, with FF, it's never about the country, it's only about the party.

That project X Cavan party was pretty big!

Bertie & biffo must be jumping with joy as it seems all is forgiven, Bertie for president next.

FF mess up the place. FG come along and tidy up. FF mess up the place again. FG clean up again....

    'tis the natural order.

Why don't we start a new party here today. We'll do whats right for Ireland. In the 2016 election we'll gain a significant foothold in the Dail. The election after that we'll have a majority. We then ban all other political parties and remove the upper house and President. What I propose then is the creation of a politburo comprised of trusted and proven members of our new party.

At the beginning of each new year a member of the politburo is selected as leader, they serve one year and then we move on to next member. By using this policy of rotation we ensure that no man or woman ever becomes too powerful.

    :rolleyes::)

FG are pussies. All you hear is "We're trying to tidy up their mess" but they actually do fcuk all for themselves except what they're told to do!

Going by what was said on radio this morning, about the Germans and the new bank deal, IMO I think what we have for a government at the moment is a house of cards. Maybe that is the view of the people that were interviewed for the poll.

Sorry to put a serious tint on proceedings, but Stephen Donnelly seems quite good in my opinion. I'll leave this here in case anyone's interested:

Fianna fail gave us the celtic tiger and **** me I loved it.
All FG / Labour have given us is cuts and attacks on the vulnerable.

    Bring back FF i say.

No offence OP but wouldn't have killed you to provide a link!
    http://www.rte.ie/news/2013/0216/368110-second-opinion-poll-has-fianna-fail-as-top-party/

Was half way down the post and it still wasn't clear what you meant by biggest party.

Have to say I find this result extremely disappointing. I don't believe that party has learned its lesson at all. This is not a good message to give an incompetent Government... do whatever you want, because we'll forgive you in 24 months.

    Not really.

Fianna Fail gave us cuts and attacks on the vulnerable by what they did to the Celtic Tiger.

Not sure who the alternatives are (not that I'd ever vote for FF or FG)
Feck it, I'll have to go set up a Lib party

Although this is clearly a joke post, it does provide a satirical view of what's behind the rise in FF.

We need to get this Scofflaw feller into government quick. I'm sure he would do a good job in all aspects of government.

FF biggest party in Ireland, I always said it was the fluoride in the water that's making People thick.

    Vote independent.

Over the last while FF have been coming out with some majorly populist crap. Me-hole Martin saying the party is against abortion legislation, and some Councillors celebrating the fact that a traveller's home was burned down and saying they don't want those sorts living beside them.

It's like a Golden Dawn for Ireland! And all too many want that crap.

I wish someone would set up a party similar to the PD's. If nothing else it'd act as a buffer to prevent other parties from moving in and usurping their ideals dishonestly.

Of course. This government has to do some difficult stuff, make some difficult decisions. The Enda haters trend towards SF and/or FF and Fianna Fáil are doing better at the Dail

    Inbreeding could explain it.

It's a pity the current government can't come out and admit it, the Irish government is like a glorified county council taking orders from a higher authority. If FF were in power they would be doing the exact same thing.

People are hurting and looking for anyway out of the mess. Sadly, there is no alternative. FF caused this mess and that should never be forgotten.

Sorry, you mean the co-architects of the Irish economic miracle is it?

    We're alright for PDs thanks!

Suppose there could be a small appetite for something like that :)

Can't see the big problem. Sure aren't Fine Gael implementing all Fianna Fail's policies anyway. Two of a kind.
We need a revolution in this country.

    Not really =p

What do we have now? A load of 'centrist' parties all playing musical chairs and a couple of loons who don't understand what the game's about!

I think Ireland could be doing with a more right-wing party. Doesn't mean I'd vote for them, but it'd absorb a lot of bull**** from everyone else.

FG is the anti- FF. they are engaging in a "revolution" by not molly coddling an electorate which wants low income tax, no property tax but the best public service in the World.

People angry with the present government have always been FF. for a while on loan to SF but now back where they feel most comfortable.
