Just to be clear, do you actually believe Traynor's claim that he was instrumental in bringing down Whyte and that he was basically acting like a double agent where all his suck-up articles were simply intended to lull Whyte into a false sense of security?
So should we call Traynor a lier and believe The crap that Thompson comes away with.

I think you'll find that a lot of journalists would latch on to a big story like this not just alex thompson.. although i have never read a full post by him

Rangers fans still got their heads in the sand I see. Ah well, some things never change I suppose.

Do you believe that journalists and I will include Thompson in this. Don't use anything they can to obtain information they can use

No, but I do know that he was one of the first mainstream journalists who started asking the right questions (granted, it took him some time) regarding Whyte.

We really should stop taking the piss lest they wise up. This is how their last club ended up liquidated :pac:

I guess it's more fun to talk about Rangers after your own team just got their collective asses handed to them :)

Cue the 'but at least we were there, you're in Div3 lolololol'

lol yeah we're absolute mortified after putting up a good display against one of the best teams in Europe, in the last 16 of the CL.

A real low point in our club's history.

Can we talk about Rangers in the Rangers thread or is that too obsessive?

I have to confess I don't know about the specific detail having not really looked into it. Broadening the discussion out a bit; every club has it's ups and downs I suppose, but the stuff that has happened at Rangers has elements of comedy/tragedy about it all. I saw one or two of ye on the Celtic Juve thread giving your spake, so I thought I'd drop in to say hello and enquire about how life is treating ye in Div3?

I saw some of your cup tie v Dundee United a couple of weeks ago before the rugby match started. I knew ye'd be in bad nick, but I was genuinely shocked. I always took it for granted that when this thing happened that ye'd be in the top flight within 3 years. Looking at ye the other week, I'm not so sure about that now, it might take a little longer. What do you think yourself?

I think even in rugby you can't rugby tackle a fella unless he has the ball, obstruction I think they call it in that game.

Of course we are in bad nick we lost a full team and more. If you think about it the football side started from scratch so we have a mixture of seasoned professionals of which only two have a chance of being with I'd when we get back to the top. The rest of the team I'd made up of younger players with potential. There are thre or four of them who hopefully will make the grade. We are under an illegal transfer ban so any signings hac to be made in a very short period of time. So things though ins bad way. I believe we will get back to the top flight at the first time of asking. It is clear that moves are underway to players signed on pre contracts so we can register them on the one day pretty sure that's what time we have.

Honest question, do you feel you should be doing better than you currently are? There was talk of a clean sweep of trophies at the start of the season and you bombed out of all the cups early doors and tbh you've dropped way more points in the league already than I expected you to. Should have lost to Berwick near the start iirc if not for a mystery chalked off goal.

I honestly thought your squad would probably just about survive in the SPL as it is.

Yes we should be doing better but the main aim was promotion. As for the cups not important you may have heard some Rangers fans talk nonsense about them but hey that happens with every team.
Really don't know why you would think that

The likes of Wallace, Black, Shiels, Templeton, Kyle and Sandaza were some of the better SPL players. Alexander wasn't too bad a backup keeper. Some of the youth players that transferred their contracts were held in fairly high regard, although not in the same bracket as Rooney/Balotelli/John Fleck :D

I think what's happened is McCoist & Co got a bit ahead of themselves and instead of taking on the challenge in front of them they've set their sights further down the line - not helped by the fact most of your time seems to be spent screaming about being the same club. Instead of signing SPL players on (relatively) massive contracts yous should have just been a bit more humble and signed lower league players who could do the sweat & sawdust stuff and build from there.

I'll be very surprised if Super Ally is there when you get back to the "SPHell". More chance of Davie Weir at the helm. Jaysus that would be a laugh :pac:

Out of the players you have mentioned only Wallace and to an extent Templeton are lining up to expectations Sheils is far to lazy Black is being over shadowed by Hutton Sandaza has been out injured most of the season as has Kyle though where you got the idea an overweight guy who had not played in some time was one of the better SPL players I have no idea.
When it comes to the younger players its one thing being held in high regard but if you have never played first team football its a different matter. Your next bit is your opinion and not worth **** to be honest.
Its easy to say we should have bought from the lower divisions but a decision had to be made whether to replace players regularly or build a team I believe we are on the right track. Whether Ally will be there when we get back to the top remains to be seen though I personally don't believe he will

    lol how mature.

Well when you untwist your knickers you might find out it's shared by quite a few of your fellow fans as well as professionals.

Ha fair enough then, I'm wrong. Super Ally's transfer policy has been spot on.

Again it's one of those things that I'm happy for you not to agree with.

    ♫Don't Sack McCoist♫

An illegal transfer ban? Sure it's all your own doing anyway.

You obviously didn't read my full post only the bit that suited you or it would be very clear that was not what I was talking about. But no surprise there.
Also your dig at Fleck it was the media who came away with the crap about him the same as they have done with many players ovef the years for example Mark Burchill but hey that's what happens

I suggest you do some reading on what went on
The courts recognised thd transfer ban was illegal and made judgement stating that.
The SPL/SFA told Green that the share from the SFA would not be transferred to the SFL unless he agree to implement an illegal ban seriously slimy blackmail at best

Ok you said many journalist would latch onto this. Maybe so but they didn't as Thompdon got those emails from somewhere now what we don't know is if this was done legally and no journalist had really followed it up why well my reckoning is that it hit to close to home and was possibly seen as an attack on a fellow journalist
