    Believe me, I did search.
It's now come to the point that it registers so lowly on peoples dials we don't even slag it anymore.
Ireland 2013, we are in a better place.

. . . . and yes, I do recognise the irony of me bringing this up

I always forget it is Ash Wednesday and the first person I see with the ash on their heads makes me initially think they are dirty :P

I wish there was some way we could identify these believers so we can stand in the street and mock them.

On the plus side I just got out of a speeding ticket. I was doing 100 in the 60 zone but the cop let me off because it's a fast day.

who's idea was it to put ashes on the noggin and not eat pork on the same day?

Sounds like some pagan business to me.

I have ashes on my forehead but I didn't see the need to start a thread about it. I don't understand the point of the OP.

I'm sick of all these paranoid references to the shackles of Catholicism. I'm not talking about Magdelene Laundries, or child abuse, or mysogeny. Just Catholicism in its everyday biblical and liturgical practice.

Most Catholics don't care about this kind of victimhood rhetoric, and most reasonable non believers don't care for it either in my experience.

Unsettling to see children going around with ash on their forehead - being indoctrinated into an amoral organisation.

Insulting to see adults go around with ash on their forehead - showing their support for said amoral organisation.

There was a poll brought in to ban the use of the "thinly veiled" posts and it's high fucking time the same was brought in to get rid of 95% of these fuking annoying religious threads!!

They're always so pointless and the same shit talk, for and against, has circled 95,761 times by now without anything new being added!

Maybe if the people who did not like religion ignored the threads it would be ok and the people who don't have a problem with it can post without the usual crap been thrown at them.

Same reason there's no exciting Stations of the Cross/Rosary/Mass threads.

All the above about as much fun as a poke in the eye with a pointy stick.

Maybe if more people posted them in their respective forums more often there wouldn't be any problems at all

Do up a list of what's allowed in AH there for us, it would be great if we were all singing of the same hymn sheet.
