eircom OR smart 8mb NGB - 1km from sandyford exchange

kilgobbin lane, a property i am thinking of moving into is about 1km from the sandyford exchange, so it looks like its in the area to get the new fibre eircom thing, BUT failing that and they tell me for whatever reason and all i can get is 8mb NBG will i actually get 8mb or am i liable to get significantly worse?

1km from the exchange should give you close enough to 8Mbit. If it's NGB then you should be able to the up to 24 Mbit package I would have thought?

Eircom or Smart? Whichever is cheaper.

gonna pay for magnet 24 megs and if i actually get 12 i will be happy. would just sign up for sky but they dont install phone lines
