Potterton Boiler Error Message

    Help please, the boiler is giving an E119 error which is a low pressure error message BUT the pressure is at 1.5 which would be correct for when it is cold.

    We had people in who moved a rad and it hasnt worked since.

    I have bled the radiators, and they are all fine.

    Please remember i am not a plumber and havent got a clue about plumbing terms, so if you could use simple words :o

    we have no heat or hot water :(

    Gauge is probably faulty but circuit is faulty. You will need an RGI out to test & replace the gauge unit.

    whats a gauge and why would moving a rad make it faulty?

    what is a RGI?

    Sorry I meant the gauge is not faulty but the electrical side of it is faulty.
    By dropping the pressure the NC circuit is now NO. Triggered possibly by no pressure when system pressure was dropped when rad removed. Couldn't say for definite unless I was there with a multimeter.
    An RGI is a Registered Gas Installer who are the only persons legally allowed to work on a gas appliance.
    You can find one in your area on www.rgii.ie
