    Well it's America after all.
    :)
I don't think cringe worthy is an accurate description of the show.

Minge worthy sometimes, that is all.

    That's true actually.

It can't be much of an issue since she's NEVER wrong.

I love her, I want her for President.

When you bawl the head off anyone who disagrees with you it's easy to be right all the time.

I love her, she makes money out of shouting at people. Now if only someone would pay me for all the shouting I do at pigeons, I'd be a millionaire by now.....might not make great tv though :p

She will say to some of the witnesses, are you sure you want to step up to answer my questions, if you do I will make you look dumber that you already look, the witness replies no,

JJ replies, well I guess you just look dumb, that is all.

Apparently each party gets paid $5,000 to go on the show and they have to sign a disclaimer saying that they agree to whatever ruling she makes. It usually still works out for them though. Even if she rules that one party has to pay the other, they'll still be up money.

There was only one time I saw it backfire. Someone sold two phones on ebay and when the buyer paid, she sent them two photographs and tried to make out that it was all legit. The buyer was only looking for the cost of the phones to be refunded but Judy was so p!ssed off with the check of yer own, she gave them her $5,000. I thought it was a random number for her to pick until someone told me that was the fee she would have got for appearing on the show.

This could be the episode you're thinking of ?

Considering 5k is the most she can award, anyone who is in her court for TV viewing is on a win win, that is all.

Personally find her a mouthy obnoxious New York broad. I have seen her decisions been wrong on multiple occasions. Her "I'm always smarter than you" bull$hit grates so much.

That's the one. She has some nerve on her! I wonder did Judy call the social and have her investigated?

TV3 wouldn't be able to afford her so will have to go with the equally respected Twink :D

Like the rest of them, but can you tell them this to their faces, knowing there is going to be bad lighting, that is all.

Maybe a new twist on the show, if found guilty you have a choice of 24 hours with Twink or a week in prison, we'll call it "Twink or The Clink"

Overcrowded prisons here we come :P

Judge Mary Martin, Ireland's answer to Judge Judy.

Wrong, on her cleverest day and JJs stupidest day, JJ will still be cleverer, why? RTE is not telling her what to do, that is all.

    Judge Judy!
Now here's a woman who knows how to get things done.
I'm actually surprised TV3 hasn't tried to make an Irish version.
Can you imagine a scumbag with 60 previous convictions showing up in her court. I'd love it.
Her no bull**** approach to court cases is something Paddyland could learn from.
Perhaps she could replace Paul Carney?

She's not a judge in that show, she can't hand out sentences, the show doesn't make sense, if you're found guilty, the show pays out your punishment.
