Hi all, Going to look at a 2008 VW Golf GT Sport 1.4 TSI 140bhp tonight with a friend of mine who is thinking of buying. Car has one owner from new, and approximately 100,000 km. Full service history from local (non VW) mechanic. Just wondering if anyone here has experience of the car, and advice on what to look out for…

Hi all,

Going to look at a 2008 VW Golf GT Sport 1.4 TSI 140bhp tonight with a friend of mine who is thinking of buying.

Car has one owner from new, and approximately 100,000 km. Full service history from local (non VW) mechanic.

Just wondering if anyone here has experience of the car, and advice on what to look out for tonight.

Stretched timing chain was an issue on those, have a Google.
