Vat/Customs/hidden charges when buying from private UK ebay seller???

    Hi lads just a quick question about importing a mobile phone from ebay.co.uk, because were both in the EU do i have to pay any custom charges or anything else? irish vat on top of price? or is it just pay shipping when buying from a private uk ebay seller?

    Depends where the seller is, not all UK sellers ship from the UK..

    You should pay irish vat if there is a difference with the rate in the eu country where the seller is based (the difference , positive or negative) . Most ebay sellers don't bother but amazon etc will do it. No customs charges.
