Beat I didn't realise that post was intended for me, apologies. Some of the things in there were interestingly true a-la friends disappearing.

Shaman mentioned controlling your dreams. A friend of mine used to be able to do this. He would be getting grief from the Principal teacher and he'd decide to push him over a cliff! Can anyone else control their dreams? Gee its been a while since I dreamt :(

Yes, yes i know(calmly buffs nails on shirt). I said it once and i'll say it again I really do rescue these lost threads! Lucid dreaming isn't too hard. I remember once I ended up in Las Vegas...in my pyjamas. I realised I must be dreaming and could change the slot machines/dice/cards etc. to wot I wanted. Very cool.

Has anyone heard that philosophy that deep down - every man wants to kill his father and ride his mother?

Freaky, but it is an actual theory. Can't recall the wacko's name though. Hope he didn't find out the hard way :)

anyone else ever have this happen to them.............its happened to me three times now over the past year or so, you fall asleep but your not really asleep...as in your mind is not asleep. Anytime it happened to me ive been fairly tired but not over tired and ive been going through something elaborite in my head while trying to fall asleep....suddenly i realise that i cant open my eyes, move my hands/legs etc. or even talk. I get the intense feeling of being trapped in my own body unable to get out. It usually only lasts a few minutes after which i wake up feeling shiitless and freaked out. The third time it happened i actually tried to make it happen and went through all the games of quake i had played that day in college in my head over and over again.......it worked too but since then(about 4 months ago) it hasn't happened since nor have i tried to make it happen again. Its the scariest feeling ive ever had and im wondering has anyone else experienced it.

I've had it happen where I'm trying to open my eyes in my sleep, and they won't. It feels really unnatural and it's a little freaky. Always happens a few minutes before I wake. Well, it hasn't happened in about a year now.

That always happened to me before, I dreamt that the devil was in the room and he was doing it. I tried to scream but I couldn't. Horrible horrible dreams. Now I don't believe in god and the devil and all that so it didn't happen in a long while(as far as I remember). Another kind of dream I have is that I figure out I'm dreaming and I struggle to wake up, and when I do something bad happens and I realise I'm still dreaming. Once I woke up to realise I was still dreaming about 6 or 7 times. One of these the dogs out of The Omen were downstairs and me and my brother ran into the bathroom and I turned to close the door but my brother was holding it open and I looked at him and he had an evil smirk on his face. I hink this means that I don't trust him( I hate the cvnt). The devil usually has some part in these dreams too. That fvcker is always on my back man

In order to bring a lighter note to the proceedings, I dreamt I was in Coronation St the other night!
Your man Richard was scaring the crap out of me. We were in his house, his whole family included and we couldn't get out. Somebody came in to see if we were alright but everyone just acted normally and I was screaming and shouting! It was actually quite scary!

Had a nightmare when I was a kid that I was at a dance at school and I was wearing a gorgeous dress and having a great time. The dance finished and I headed out to my locker. I opened it up and there was a body in there. If that wasn't gross enough, the locker was separated by a shelf, the head was on the shelf and the body was in the locker. Yuk. Not a very pleasant dream when I was only 8 at the time!

U all seem to suffering from it. The brain stem tells the spinal cord not to move(ie.sleepwalk) during dreams. This explains some alien abductions actually. Very scary, but goes away after a few minutes. I had the opposite problem: My mind'd be wide awake, but my body would move around, despite screaming thoughts. I thought i was possessed! Stopped after a while, I'd either "wake up" not havin a clue where I wos, or knowing i'd been strolling thru my neighbourhod instead of in bed (but still mercifully in pj's) and not bein able 2 do a ting a bout it.

I used to get these things called "night terrors" when i was a kid....by god they were horrible...its when your brain is over stimulated before you go asleep..you fall asleep but your mind is racing so much that it wakes up....however the rest of your body is still asleep, you cannot move or speak or even move your eyes, reminded me of being burried alive for some reason, id try to call for my parents help but nothing would come out !

This may be of interest to the folk with a vodafone live handset. If you connect to vodafone live, there is a dream and numerology interpreter somewhere on their wap site. Its pretty cool tbh.

I dream I died by being crushed by a falling building.

Also being chased by a biker gang, flying away and having them catch up on me.

I get that the whole time, 2-3 times a month usually, it's pretty freaky but I can usually snap myself out of it by trying to shake my head really hard until I can move again.

Your brain semi deactivates when you go to sleep ie your control over your body is taken away. This makes plenty of sense for obvious reasons, but sometimes you way up before control is restored, which is quite scary.

I've had some strange dreams in my time and could never interpret them myself, and would love to know what they mean...

Recently, I dreamt that I was watching TV, and a Sherlock Holmes episode was on. He was with another detective, who seemed to be taking control of all the investigations, and looked like he might be smarter then Holmes, as he seemed to be the one solving the crimes. But it turns out he's really the bad guy, and I expected Holmes would have to figure this out and get him....

Cut to me being inside the dream. I'm in a car (back seat) with 4 other ppl. We each have guns, and we're pulling up to a building to storm it and catch this baddy. We stop a few houses down the street on the other side of the road. The guys run into the house, I was going to follow, but there was a sniper behind the wall on the same side of the street as the building, waiting to shoot me. I thought I *might* be able to run to building, turn and shoot him first, but there was an equal chance he'd get me. Then two guys came out, one of them turned to shoot me, but i shot him first, then realised he was one of the guys in the car, so i thought I'd shot one of my colleagues. Then the other guy moved suddenly, and i shot him as well. But it turned out they were twins, and the second guy i shot was my colleague, he didn’t move, so i thought I'd missed. But I aimed when i shot, so i couldn't have actually missed. He came over bleeding, said he was okay, and to get the sniper. So i jumped over the wall and shot. I wake up.

And another question if I may ;)

I lucid dream a lot. And on one such occasion I had the presence of mind to ask to speak with my sub-conscious. To my surprise 'she' showed herself. I just looked at her and was completely stunned at the knowledge in her eyes, so much so that I couldn't say anything. A background appeared (which happened to be my street), and she walked into a house (as I lost control and it started turning back into a dream). I went up to the house, but my opportunity had passed, and it was too late to ask her anything.....

Wow kamobe u hav good dreams!
Though not impossible, there have been very rare cases of speaking with ur subconcious. Curiously, this "inner-you" might not look like you at all and seems to have an outside intelligence. Have you ever considered going to the house on ur street she walked into? Usually these dreams are metaphorical, so is der netin unusual bout the house?
Consider urself priviliged. Dis is the first case iv actually heard of in real life of dis happening. I've read about it, but it can't be proved.

It was a house at the end of my road, (cant place it as being anyone's in particular), and there was a party on inside. There were other people outside as well, but when i went up they were gone and the door was closed. That's all I can remember :)

Actually, I've another one that's confusing me somewhat. I was sitting on my couch, the fire was burning (was our old coal fire as opposed gas...), and there was a STUNNING woman (not sluty, I've never seen her before) on the couch facing me reporting the news. We were talking etc, when a blackbird appeared beside the fire, and then proceeded to fly up the chimney, and block it. It was flapping trying to get out, but smoke started the fill the room. We were leaving the room, but when i opened the living room door, the hall was on fire, as was the rest of the house. I opened the front door, she went out, and i shouted upstairs to get everyone out. My brother was up there, running around looking for something, but he didn't seem to understand how serious the situation was. That's all I can remember....

    Hey guysss!
how are you all. well ....im new here...as you can tell...because my nick has not been a constant visitor to this site.
i just found this site today......and im anxious to know the meaning of my dream. I know its trying to tell me something...but cant figure out what! i was hoping you guys would be able to help me out. ;)
ok here is my dream.......this is concurrent...happens every 2 weeks or so..for the past 3 years.
Im always getting chased by people or something.....then i reach a dead end..like a wall, or a cliff....then i look back....i see them still chasing me...then i lift my arms...and start flying and flying higher...till i feel safe that they cant catch me anymore. Then the dream ends. i always manage to fly and escape from anything.
The concept of my dream is always the same...that i get chased and come to a dead end..and fly. but the scenes are always different....as in who or what is chasing me....or what kinda dead end i reach...
i hopeeee you would be able to help me out...i really want to get this translated and know what it means....or atleast give me a site where i can find out about this please. Thank you guyss...bye now. ;)

I had a dream where the human race were a carnivorous intergalactic species that consumed worlds and coated them in metal and then colonised other ones to repeat the process. Then there was a writhing tree growing out of my head made up of writhing demonic faces singing in a nasty playground melody tone "kill it's in your nature kill it's in your nature". In this instance by "dream" I mean drug-induced hallucintaion. Just hash actually but I hallucinte sometimes just from that. [It may not surprise you that I now think "drigs are bad".]

Had a recurring dream where everybody else goes mad and tries killing the sane people until I'm the only one left. Had this dream many times before wathcing "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".

Had a dream where I was lost in this magnificent city somewhere in America/Canada, which had incredible megalithic architecture. The building were constructed from blocks of granite each the size of a house and ornately carved with spirals and things. I was trying to find my way to New York and had reached this city by falling asleep on a Greyhound bus. I came to a house wher this woman was throwing a guy in a sialor's outfit out of her house and saying J"Jesus would somebody ride me properly!" and I stepped forward and offered to do so in exchange for a lift to New York.

Had a dream where I was wandering through mist naked carrying a spear and came to this big room where my gf was a sleep in bedwith this man leaning over her wondering what was wrong with her. Then he turned and saw me and said "recognise me and disappeared in a puff of smoke, but my spear disappeared also. It was weird because the man in the dream was her father but i'd never seen him, or been ytold what he looked like at the time of the dream.

Had a dream where my girlfriend and myself made up a single symbiotic entity where i was a kinda tree trunk and she was able to fly. Very beautiful dream because I saw her flying naked and extremely happy.

Last memorable dream I had which nearly made me throw up was em..well I was in a room with Richard and Judy (TV hosts) and Judy was making me rub raspberries onto Richard and he was all hairy and wearing Y fronts,it was making me feel fairly ill too. What would be the meaning of that ? ..
