it might be a bit harsh to say that everyone got greedy. Young people were being made feel that if they didn't own at least one house, then they were a failure. Availability of credit granted these people a facade of success.

People are inherently greedy though and thats what motivates them whether naive about it or not. The banks wanted more, the developers wanted more and the people wanted more until the whole thing ground to a halt and collapsed on itself.

No, there wasn't - so any additional attached opinion is based on a falsehood foundation and is subject to possible sinking due to that weakness alone.

Someone prove that there was a land of leprechauns?
As possibly true as an invisible man always watching over us like a creepy stalker!

The OP started off the thread by stating:

The initial onus is for him to prove this stated fact is valid and that there is material to substantiate his claim - so far none has been provided so till evidence is produced, anything else sits on a foundation of weak quicksand and is likely to sink upon further delving into!

    Have a nice evening! :D

That was true until you categorically stated he was wrong, and then didnt justify that statement with a foundation of fact.

So unless you can substantiate your own assertions you must concede the story although improbable is not impossible.

    *tips cap*

"The absence of a positive does not prove a negative."

Till the OP provides substantiation to the initial premise, then any counter argument is based on false initial representation and would be counter-intuitive a still non-existent presentation of Habeas Corpus as within the case they have laid out.

Further more... I need to get a life! :D

All the best stories start with "Once upon a time..." Biggins. You need to spend more time chasing rabbits, fighting dragons and walking across snow-covered fields, leaving behind the first set of tracks.

There used to be a place called Ireland, I remember it well and loved it. I'm a bit sad it has been driven westwards and concreted over, it might re-emerge some day.

...With the amount of concrete thats been laid down already, I fear not - but we can live in hope. :)
