Him scoring a hattrick against them last season is of questionable relevance imo. Doesn't mean very much.

I'd disagree. Certain teams do have certain players that they struggle against. For example, even before he was a superstar, RVP always tore Blackburn apart every time they played.

On the other hand, Arsenal always struggled with Samba at set pieces.

With a striker yes,but i cant see how teams would struggle with a midfielder in the long term.

Like I said, Arsenal could never handle Samba and he's a defender.

Did they not also have a problem with Kevin Nolan when he was at Bolton?

Samba and Nolans success against Arsenal in the past is a lot easier to explain then Lampard getting a hat trick though.

Then again, it worked for those who went with Suarez at Norwich this year and I'm not sure if there's a clear tactical reasoning behind his 2 consecutive hat tricks there.

think some players defo find it easier playing against some players/teams torres against vidic drogba against carragher. Showing my age here but Ian rush used to always score against everton but cudnt score against utd.

you're forgetting three lung park. unbelievable how many times he did the gunners in, considering he got like an average of 4-5 goals a season for utd.

lampard getting a hattrick might not be relevant but lampard scoring goals all the time and wigan sucking hard at defense might be.

Have it on Fellaini at the moment, it's kind of an all or nothing gamble, he either scores decent points as my captain and I keep him or else he does nothing and I ship him in the next week or 2.

    (c) is on RVP right now, tempted by Suarez tho as I'm in 4th place in my mini league and need to make up some leeway to get into the money. I honestly think Libpool will cause City big problems on Sunday.

Its between RVP and Giroud for me.
Afraid not to put it on RVP. He could score 3 as easily as none.
I feel Giroud is in great form though and could well keep his great run going.
What to do, what to do?

I've learned in the past not to deviate away from RVP. I'm not bothered whether he gets a 2 or 12, once most of my rivals have captained him it takes this swing out of it.

    odds to score this GW
    Van persie 8/11
    aguero /tevez 11/10
    ba 6/5
    walcott 5/4
    fellani 6/4
    michu 15/8
    suarez 15/8
    bale 2/1
    mata 23/10
    torres 50/1:)
that should be enough to convince me to capt rvp but for some reason im leaning towards aguero.

Have it on RVP but thinking now of Remy. Could be a masterstroke or a disaster

Does making this decision not prove a loss-maker longterm?

I try to play Fantasy Football like poker. Make the statistically most likely decision more often than your opponents and you'll inevitably profit over an extended period of time. You'll think you're fantastic the times your unnecessary risk comes in, and that'll blind all the 2 point score weeks that come along the way.

I've just done something that could turn out to be the most incredibly stupid thing I've ever done in FF
Captain changed from RVP to Giroud. Fingers crossed.

I always play the safe option. This time I'm going to risk it.

    Walcott giddy up!!!!

Went with Walcott. He's in cracking form and Stoke are usually dirt away from home.

Hoping for at least a goal or assist.

Another disappointing week from RVP, v tempted to swap him for Rooney... but I know he'll score 4 goals the week after I do...

RVP is likely to get 2 or 3 bonus this week.

    he still produced something.

only 2 weeks all season I think that he hasn't. I'm not ditching him.
