I ported over .... no biggie. Its as easy to port back. Luckily I bought a bundle at the end of the month so I am sorted for another month. If they don't bring back a decent bundle I will be jumping ship. What's the next best alternative?

I topped up on the 5th of Jan and again on the 29th, still within the offer of 30 days free data from date of top up. Today they have started to charge me !! 27 days from first topup and 3 days from second !!

Got on to CS and got the usual "We will look into it, it will be resolved within 24 hours......"

    We'll wait and see...........

Not a very good start with them :-(

so, no more free texts to any network after each topup and o more unlimited internet after each topup ???????!!!!!
Going back to tesco -> better quality, same prices, free web text (national 600 and international 100 via cabage app) and tesco club card points too ;)

But if you are on a bundle. are you not getting free texts?

I take it he means unlimited free texts. Only bundle offering that is the €29 one which compared to the previous bundles available is crap.

What happens to people who had the old bundles? Do they continue on or are you now stuck with their new pricing system?

Looks like we are getting screwed when you compare the bundles available to the UK.

I would imagine when your current bundle runs out you will have to choose from whats on offer now.

    Has anybody tried this yet

Putting 5 in and getting 5 bonus and then buying the 9 euro bundle.
I know it says you can't use the bonus credit for bundles but just wondering has anybody tried it for sure yet?

I'm not due to renew until 6th Feb. But hopefully someone is due to renew before that.:)

The UK bundles have been revised this month as well. Up to then we were getting the better offers.

I see on Tesco Mobile they double your credit, say €10 turns to €20. €10 goes on unlimited text bundle and €7 goes on 1GB internet. €3 left to spend on calls (or 15 mins).
I think I could get by on that.
3's bundle is far better (Unlimited texts and 15GB internet + weekend calls, €20 to spend on calls) but is €20.

    Can you tether with 3?

    Can you tether with 3?

They say you can't in their terms but my brother who has been with them over a year does so all the time without bother.

3 charge 35 for 20GB of data for their prepaid internet.

Getting 15GB for 20 euro is a steal if they didn't cop you were using the sim in a modem.

I topped up with 5, got double credit & purchases 9€ bundle on 30th Jan. Not sure this helps much as its before their site changed.

I just joined today ffs (though thankfully not ported :) ) Just topped up with €5 on a sim to check network. Got double credit n went for cheapest bundle. When I checked remaining minutes after a test call. It informed me that my 149 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data are valid until 3/3/13 :)

it seems it still can be done so.

I used to receive a text after every phone call and telling me how many minutes left, I just noticed it's not showing anymore. Is there a way to check my bundle usage?

    Thanks.

Ran further tests. Only got 151MB of Internet usage out of it before they cut it off. Also as previously mentioned Meteor not receiving texts from Lycra number.

My €9 bundle ran out yesterday. Today I topped up by €5, received an extra €5 bonus and I'm just using the flat rates for now. I'm being charged 9c for an SMS, as per their updated national rates on their website, so my free SMS is gone. But I'm still getting free data, even though the website says its 15c per MB. We'll see how long it lasts.

A lot of my calls are to landlines, and at 3c a minute to landlines, the overall package is still good value for me.

Try *137# and hit send/call button, it should tell you your bundle balance. If you get a message "Invalid Request. Please check and try again" this means your bundle has expired.

Could you not renew your bundle?

Looking like I shall be going to 3 now. Fecking offer was too good to be true.

I didn't try. This time I'll see how long my credit lasts me on the flat rates.

Read the three forum first, more expensive tariffs and unreliable service, crap customer care too!!

I've been with three for about 3 years, last year out of the blue my phone number completely changed and I couldn't even send texts. Was on to three support and they asked me why I ported my number?? I was like wtf?? Three are ok but be prepared to expect the unexpected

they automatically renewed my €9 bundle with the credit I had left, got the unlimited SMS, unlimited data and 150 min. That's what I call a bargain..

does the 3 prepay phone sim work in a dongle though?

Was this before or after the bundles changed?

First time trying a long international call with lyca and the call quality was really poor. It was worse than what you get when you call with those cheapcalls etc - never had any issue Tesco over the years... If it continues to be like this, I might be switching back to Tesco fairly sharpish.

After 4 months of not topping up my 5e from October finished on the 1st feb. So I topped up again with 5e and got the automatic 5e and a renewed bundle.

The internet connection seems to have improved.
