How often should I replace PET bottles?

I've been using the same Coopers Ox-Bar PET bottles for a year now (average one brew a month). Does anyone know how long they last before they (or the caps) need replacing?

As long as they are holding carbonation I don't see why they wouldn't last for years.

I find them becoming a pain to clean as they get older, even when being careful and rinsing straight after pouring. The gunk seems to get stuck in the feet at the bottom. Once I don't trust a bottle to be clean, out it goes.
