So i was wondering who all you boardies feel is an Irish person who really represents us well abroad and whom you are proud to say is Irish for me Mary McAleese is a person who i am honesly proud to say was reprsenting us in my view she always did it well

Really because for the 14 years of her presidency I don't remember her making one single speech. I think she brought a bucket of weeds to Africa or something, but she is hardly a notable personality.

Nice try, but this is a rubbish thread.

Most of these id agree with but not Graham Norton he seems to have done what Terry Wogan did and forgot he his Irish. Terry only remembered when he retired that he was one of us.

Mary Robinson has always been a great ambassador for Ireland
    Also Brendan Gleeson

Séan Gallagher, no sarcasm intended. He should be president and prime minister.

    ?
(I do know what you meant)

    I politely disagree.
He's still too much of a new kid on the block as far as some of the public might be concerned.
...And whats he done consistently so far that has put Ireland across on the European and world stage?

Hi Dick, I think the achievements of Ben Dunne make him an excellent ambassador for the country. He done bad, then opened gyms. A very real story - its believable.

    mum.:P
she has her problems [of the bottled nature] but when she isnt involved in them she is the kindest person that know, she also spoiling the chickens of mine putting them before herself, for some reason she doesnt like eating the eggs as she sees temple and lorna [the hens who are laying] as pampered pets [true] which makes her think there must be a chick in each egg.:D
so vote for mum,she is from donny, she loves bogger music and is a part of the manchester irish community, she has brought us up in irish culture, making us proud of our 'roots' and realise what a concreted sht hole this place is in comparison.
