What's your plan mate? Bear in mind what would you do if it was a close family member of yours? Or are you just one of those perfect doo gooders, I note from your previous posts you have a dislike for gardai

what sticks in my craw is that when (perish the thought ) these murderers need help in a life threatening situation of their own, who will they ring??? ....the gardai/psni, thats who, and the cries of indignation when they're not responded to promptly!! they will probably have the neck then to dis the police response time,

These people are of NO benefit to society, none at all and we will spend a fortune keeping them locked up for however many years when they could be put down and that will be the end of it, they wont hurt anyone else again. I certainly wouldnt be apposed to the death penalty in cases like this, infact id support it

A lot of action going on tonight, around Dundalk, knockbridge and Carrickmacross, garda helcopter ARU etc.
Hope they get the low lifes soon

Is it wrong to hope they resist a little? Just enough for the taser.

Pat McCann and Colm O Shea are now locked up 33 years , since 1980 .

It must be costing a fortune in upkeep .
They did get the death penalty that time , but it was downgraded to life .

Living in a generally more peaceful democratic society with equally fairer general more modern laws, than living in a society who's laws are still somewhat still in the dark ages, is a double-edged sword that we must learn to live with.
Most of the time we willingly accept the advantages those laws give us.
On the rare occasion where emotions are more raised in anger, the other side of that sword of justice which cuts also, is there not just to protect others but also ourselves from allowing our society to revolve backwards to a lower level of less humanity and charity.

And Peter pringle who was convicted with them and also received the death penalty had his conviction quashed after spending 15 years in prison for a crime he did not do, By a lot of your understandable anger here he would would also be dead now.

It wont bring back this brave garda but the people responsible will be caught and when convicted they will get a very very long time in prison.

    RIP very sad .

I must say there is too much utter scum on the streets that should be locked up, it just seems to be getting worse and worse. Very young lads involved in crime these days with nothing but a life on inflicting misery on others ahead. Something must be done to target these young thugs under 18 and rehabilitate , by the time they reach adulthood damage is normally done.

the detectives were in seperate cars with CU workers to escort them to the bank (when windows smashed and shot happened) the car blocked them in and 2 guys jumped from behind a wall

not true! both gaurds were in the same car. they usually never get out of their car but as the raiders approached Adrian went to stand up out of his car but was shot several times before he had a chance to reach for his gun. they then told the other gaurd to remain still or they would shoot him too.

RIP Adrian, a true gent and great father and husband.

    RIP.

Of course if a citizen spontaneously attempts something like this, he's a hero but this man was on call for such 24/7 - generally, fundamentally the gardaì certainly have my respect.

This is all presuming they will be caught at all, if I was the shooter I'd be on the other side of the world by now... One of my biggest fears is they won't be caught, what kinda message that sends out to the criminal underworld

I guess for some people that potential return outweighs the risks involved. Crazy...

Id love to know how these people feel about what they did, if they feel any remorse or just pass it off as as part of their business and move on

They are armed robbers, if they are who they are suspected to be, they could very well be ex-provo. If they cared about this kind of thing they wouldn't be doing it in the first place.

You can be sure their barrister will go to great pains to tell the court just how remorseful they are should they be convicted. As far as I am concerned, unless a person turns themselves in, confesses and pleads guilty a claim of remorse should not be allowed.

why wouldn't you think it's true?

if they're provos they are likely to have killed before. These kind of serious and violent criminals are not remorseful about their crimes.

Just back from Lordship, the club and community is pretty numb to say the least.
Adrian was just appointed head of Òg sport in the club, looking after the juveniles, how can anyone explain this to the children who looked up to him so much.
Yes the scumbags left a reported €40k behind them, but they also left a massive void in the community as whole.
Whoever is shielding these bastards wake up and turn them in.
