Hi All just a quick question , some friends and I have gotten phone calls at all hours from this Slovenian number +386 8 189 7042 . Just want to know if anyone else has recieved call from this number because it's defo no one we know and the voice on the line is not speaking English.
It's odd and we're wondering if one of our phones had the contacts hacked off it or something similar.

It's a scam, they want you to call it back and you'll be charged an outrageous rate for it. I have no idea where they get our niumbers but don't worry about it. Just don't call it.

Wow! I got a call from that exact number last night at 2:30am.
I couldn't recognise the country code so didn't answer.

Random numbers fair enough but I thought it was weird 3 friend in less than 6 hours.

Its a scam, the Slovenian international code makes it look like you missed a call from an 086 mobile number.

Presumably the numbers were hacked from one of the mobile companies databases

They probably got their hands on a phone bill or something, maybe hacked an online account. Got all the numbers off that, and ringing numbers from that phonebook..

The only reason i am thinking that's a possibility instead of randomly generating numbers, is because your friends got called also. Unless your numbers are close to each other?

Numbers are all 087 6xxxxxx apart from that not sequential or anything.

I've heard it's another of those international premium rate "call back and you'll hear porn" numbers.

I got a call from the same number apart from the last digit was 8 last night at quarter to ten. I answered and said hello but nobody responded. My mother got a call from the same number too. Just as well I didn't bother ringing back. I just thought to myself "if its important they'll ring back"

Ya the brother and mother got the same calls within an hour of each other yesterday. Don't ring back

Google your phone number. Mine is on a web page with thousands of other numbers similar to mine. No hacking involved, just a program that dials numbers starting at 0870000001 going through all the numbers to 0879999999.

They could have a computer program crawling the Internet looking for mobile numbers, ever list anything on DoneDeal or a classified site? Or could be a third party selling your information to them :0
