Maura Laverty was my father's aunt.

She was pretty much Ireland's first celebrity chef and was also a playwright, author and journalist, she wrote Tolka Row, Ireland's first ever soap opera up until her death in 1966.

Her cookery books are basically the bible of Irish food.

    James Connolly

Try not to be too excited

Something similar. Michael Collins is apparently a cousin of my grandmother, although I havent researched this in the slightest, and its also pathetically distant. Thats about it for my family as regards famous people.

I'm related to Arthur Guinness, but more importantly, Father Joe Briefly, a.k.a. Himalaya Joe, is my great uncle. He wanted both parachutes in the Father Ted episode, 'Flight Into Terror'.

Gregory Peck was a few steps away apparently.

Something like his mother was my great-grandmother's cousin.

It's unconfirmed, though from a good source (and he definitely had relatives in the area) and it's not like he was my uncle, but it's still pretty cool.

You are literally related to Atticus Finch, that's just class .
