Now you should know better about the annoyance of people being pedantic ;)

    No full stop?
    Pfft.

Hmm, some one tell me, roughly how much fuel are we talking for an hour down to Midway at ~€35?
I'm only used to city driving, I get very confused about motorway consumption.

Once you hit the motorway, keep it in 5th, don't tear down just cruise and you should be graaaand!

Drive at about 90kmh the whole way. Any faster and you are burning away needlessly.

Sit behind a suitable lorrey/van and slipstream to gain that extra few mpg.

Overtaking a slower car? Don't you dare speed up over 90, overtaking lane or not! As a sign to other road users, stay in the right lane to show how much you value their business and your mpg. They'll be all too glad to thank you :D

Seriously.... 5th gear the whole way and no dancing on the accelerator pedal ;)

I had to look up pedantic too, goodness I can be thick at times.... :o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,730 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

I could be listening to J-pop, metal or folk depending on my mood. Or depending on the mood of my radio, it could be Twin Cam by Nissan in the key of 3000 RPM. :p

I will be taking this route, the athy/stradbally is a decent road. A few tempting bends on it.

Adding myself to a maybe at this.

I've been offered a very free meal and few drinks afterwards locally. If I'm in a reasonable state on Sunday morning, I'll tip down.
