Musical Societies Dublin

Hi there,
I am looking to join a musical society in Dublin. I know there have been similar posts already, but they're a bit out of date and what I really want to know if there is a society in Dublin that will be staging a show in the next 6-8 months that I could audition for? I've checked AIMS but the details aren't great.
CLose enough to city centre would be great as I'm relying on public transport, but I'm also willing to travel.

Any info appreciated.

Main question is are you male or female? It does make a difference because at this time of year it's the height of rehearsal season already (auditions long over for full musicals) and if you're female you almost certainly won't get in at this stage. If you're a guy..different story altogether.

I'm with Coolmine MS in Blanchardstown and our musical is in November. Auditions will be in June probably. We are doing a variety show in April and auditions for solos are the first Sunday in February..info will be on the Facebook page in the next day or so.

Yeah I'm female. I had been keeping an eye on the auditions page on Aims,especially around November / December ... but somehow I missed out as most shows seem to have been cast. Ill keep looking! Thanks!

Lots of societies don't advertise auditions or have open auditions. I'd suggest the events board on the aims forum for audition/open night Info rather than the auditions page.
