I want to hurt Craig Burley. Badly.

That was a really excellent performance in the second half. The team looked set up perfectly and there were some very good performances too. Jack, of course, was exceptional.

Are you and Fuzzy Siamese twins?

Nah, were just sitting beside eachother.

It seems that you have to hate Arsenal and be a total tit to get on a T.V. football panel. Total prats.

After one of the most one sided halves of football I've seen in many years, he finally admits Arsenal may have just deserved to win the game.

"In truth I don't really think Swansea have done enough in the second half"

They were fúcking battered you moron.

Was very encouraging the amount of chances we created tonight, Giroud missed a few but he does get himself into good positions and his hold up and lay of play is excellent,

Formation suited Wilshire and Cazorla great games from both.

Good to see Gibbs and Sagna doing well again

That was one of the best Arsenal performances I've seen in a while apart from our inability to find the back of the net until the 85th minute. Thought Vermaelen, Gibbs and Wilshere were the standouts. Jack will probably be the captain of the team next year i reckon.

id like to see the same formation but with Pod up front

At least that wasn't too tiring for our CB. Didn't have any pressure in the second half put on them.

@GeoffArsenal has followed up his earlier tweet

Arsenal have made a £30m bid earlier today.

not sure about the grammar but I like the content :)

It was probably for Messi :pac:

    "We tried!"

Giroud needs more game time. Full of clever touches and movement he just needs a regular berth in the 1st 11 to get scoring.

@geoffarsenal says arsenal have bid 30 million for a player but won't say who...
    He is usually reliable

    Edit: just seen pappas post

Would be surprised if we are willing to spend the wages that go along with a 30million pound plus player.

Not enough for Cavani and I can't see anyone else in that ballpark.

    Can we dream ?

Not that Jon Champion was much better - did you hear him describe the goal as the one moment of quality?

We can always dream. Fantasy football stuff though really. He would cause our wage structure to implode.

How much would Cavani be worth?

    That's €36m

    Surely that would tempt Napoli.

Hardly Mario Gotze at 30m? Just throwing a name out there really no actual info or substance to my 'theory' :p

Before the goal tonight we had a chance and while our players had their hands on their heads feeling sorry for themselves Swansea had a counter attack which ended up with Chesney having to go full stretch to make a save...I mean ffs its the little things like this that need to be ironed out. Like the free kick at the weekend, concentration was just non existant.

Anyways 1-0 win, job done, that'll do Pig! :)

I was thinking Gotze as well, Cavani is worth about £35-40M in todays market i'd say judging by Hazards price tag but still doesn't mean we didn't bid for him, in fact it sounds like exactly what Wenger would bid for him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,031 ✭✭✭Soups123

'If' its true and we bid 30m today then it's probably a player valued in the 35-40m mark.

Not getting anyway excited thought its just twitter gossip

That was my thinking, when has Wenger ever tried to pay full price for a player with their first bid. Especially with somebody at that price, he would definitely bid 5 - 10 million less.

Why would he leave Dortmund though?

Wenger has realised his mistake and is buying back van Persie at a loss

£30m is a lot of money so should narrow down the possibilites a fair bit, unless it's for two or more players....
