2013 Cut Off Point reduced by 10K? Surely a mistake?

(Mods, apologies, duplicate thread, I felt the previous thread title was not specific enough)

    Hi all.

Any ideas for reasons why I should have been issued with a reduced tax cut off point of 10K?

My personal circumstances have not changed, I have not advised tax office of any changes, nor has my spouse had any changes, (probably only a reduction in wages if anything).

    A drop of 10K means im losing nearly €200 a month....surely a mistake?

Your tax credit cert should tell you why. Is there anything on the cert that looks out of place? A second employment? Some DSP income?

    Thanks Relax Carry on.

No other income apart from partners p/t income.

I haven't seen new tax credit form, my employer advised me of this as they were advised by ROS.

Seems wrong, do they send new tax credit to my personal address?

I will call tax office tomorrow.

Yes They will send it to the address they have on file for you

Some people had their cut-off point reduced for Social Welfare Payments in error

    Thanks Citizenpain.

Haven't received new Tax Credit form. Should I have received it by now?

10k seems a hellofalot with no changes to personal/family circumstance....must be an error.

I'll let u know if and when I find out.

If you are registered for payeanytime on www.revenue.ie , you can log-in and view your tax certs / print them as well if necessary.

Compare your 2012 tax credit against your 2013 tax credit , and see what the differences are .

Do you have a private pension (RAC). Revenue took it upon them selves to delete peoples pension details if they have not change their contributions for two or more years.

    Thanks folks:

During summer, partner is a supply teacher, and was put on Job Seekers for summer.

At that point there was a re-adjustment to credits, cant remember why, and then re-adjusted back in September ditto..

Paid major lump of tax in September.

For 2013 however, the credit share, defaulted/went back to the summer share for some reason.

Its back even now. P60's sent in...not sure if I owed, or they owe us, or evens...

    Thanks...
