Could we start a Thread along the lines of advising Boardsies as to what is BETTER in ALDI+ LIDL rather than the other main retailers. We should use the following headers:

    1. ALDI or LIDL?
    2. Item:
    3. Cost
    4. Why buy??
    5. Other: (e.g. ..express yourself)

For example ... I was out tonight and bought this

    1. Lidl
    2. Mango Chutney
    3. 79cent
    4. just looked value for money and I had no chutney in stock
    5. Look forward to using this with next curry. Hope it is nice as they also have a Spicy Mango Chutney as well which will bring me back!

So... if you have a favoutite....let us know and we might actually try it out

ALDI is the only retailer in Ireland that can do decent Pickled onions.

Aldi do lovely crackers with cracked black pepper. Can't find crackers with pepper anywhere else

There's already been a few threads on this if you search.

Clarke's Bourbon Whiskey from Aldi is absolutely delicious, only 12 quid, I think, a bottle.

Aldi free range chickens are great - 5.50 I think and not full of water. :D
