sorry cant do a screen shot

    but im getting

0.21 download 0.67 upload and ping is 47

im on local BB connection and pay 38.99 per month

i'm meant to be on there higher quality network to

not great with this stuff but can someone tell me if above is good/bad

Ping is not dreadful but it would make online gaming annoying.
Your download is absolutely ridiculous, some users have 750 times that speed and your speed can barely load media intensive websites. The upload is not great but it is enough to do any average task.

I personally would not pay for it.
I suggest you look for a different provider

I don't know much about broadband. When i was living in the city I had UPC and it was great. There could be 2 or 3 laptops streaming video with no problems. Now that I'm back living out the country, I have fixed wireless BB. It's 7am & I can't watch videos on youtube. Even after leaving for several minutes, it still gets stuck & i give up! I've done a few tests and these are the results.

    The best: http://speedtest.net/result/2430597216.png

    The worst: http://speedtest.net/result/2430595080.png

My connection is stated as 1m with contention of 16:1 so download speeds seem ok. I cant find my upload speed stated anywhere but on my ISP's website it states that "Our products have as fast upload, as download, with no limit on the amount of data and the bandwidth available within the same area is more than 10 times as much, as what 3G can deliver.". The tests don't seem to show upload being ANYWHERE near download speed!!!:(

    What do you guys think?

Switched to UPC yesterday after years of ADSL, being lucky to get 3-4Mb out of a supposedly 8Mb line, this just astounds me.

Friend of mine has moved to Sky 4G, but he's in suburban v's me in the bog - NewYear cleanup, am I paying too much ? I have o2 mobile b/band and Eircom at home but rarely use o2 so going to cancel that. Eircom at home seems ok but looking at 'Local area connection status' on Control panel I'm wondering how my o2 speed is v low but activity is high v's Eircom high speed but low activity - can anybody put that in plain english

    2464840121.png

My 'Local area connection status' on Control panel is showing 100 mbps as speed. 'Activity Sent 23,013 Recieved 26,347

I tried my netbook with an 02 dongle - Download 1.89mbps and Upload 0.88mbps Won't test on Speedtest, only mini speedtest

My 'Local area connection status' on Control panel is showing 7.2 mbps as speed and 'Activity Sent 1,559,968 Recieved 41,945,854

The Rural Broadband Scheme as supplied by Hutchison 3G Ireland Limited.
Puts other peoples complaints into perspective I think? Has anyone a worse result? I doubt it!

Much the same for me. 7mb out of a 8mb package with VF but was told by Sky that the line is capable of 15mb and I should get at least 12mb. I have the Sky hub here and I'm due to to be up and running tomorrow,

Your Eircom line seems to be going to a BT exchange now as it says ESAT Telecommunications is your ISP and that is the name for BT Irelands broadband
