BTEA: Moving SW Office during summer

I'm not sure if this should be located in Student finance, but I'll give it a go here.

I'm currently receiving the BTEA grant, whilst studying in the UK. I'm in my late twenties, and the summer before I returned to University I moved back to my parent's house for the last few months. When I returned home from England this summer gone by, I also lived at home. We live in a rural area with a high unemployment rate so I was signing on all summer.

I feel like I would rather not live with my parent's for another summer, whilst probably still signing on. It's filling me with dread to be honest. I would rather move to next biggest town or even to Dublin. This would give me a better opportunity to find work. My question is, is it possible to move my BTEA claim to another SW office for the summer months? I seem to remember it took over a month for my JSA claim to come through after I'd come home from the UK last summer, so would this wait time be doubled if I moved it to another busier office?

    Thanks in advance!

You can transfer your claim it shouldn't take more than 2 weeks to sort out if even. When you finish the BTEA just go to the new office with photo ID, proof of address and they should sort you out.
