West Ham are also after signing Brazilian forward Wellington Paulista from Cruzeiro on a 6 month loan deal with the option of a further 3 years.

Well that's the end of that so. Why would Chamakh go to sit on West Ham's bench when the one in the Emirates would be much more comfy though?

Ladsi ive played me wildcard but cant decide on Bale or Hazard DGW only reason for Hazard, then straight to Santi for his DGW. What ya think Bale or Hazard? I have no Spurs cover cos I got Ba instead of Defoe for the DGW. Head is melted.

City haven't scored away to Arsenal in the last few games.

Do you mean in the previous few seasons? I have Gibbs in my team so I hope you're right but i've never had much faith in predictions based on past matches where the players, team form etc was completely different. They've let in 2,1,3,0, and 2 goals in their last 5 matches (thank you BBC). Not disastrous but not exactly stellar defending either, especially when you consider they're up against a reasonably potent attacking threat in Man City.

Bale and keep him. Walcott would be a better option than Cazorla if you do transfer Bale out but i would hold onto him if i was you.

What is the rest of your team?

    Jussi Begovic

Undecided on defence but they'll all be cheap

    Michu Bale Walcott Mata Marvaeux

    Ba Suarez RVP

Defence is shocking I know but I dont theres not many points there anyway, no matter who ya have, thats what I think anyway.

That's a real Sophie's choice if ever I heard one. Bale against a fairly putrid QPR team is an attractive prospect while Hazard hasn't been up to much lately at all, and that's assuming he even gets a decent chunk of time. Bale by a hair maybe imo...

What would you all think of swapping in hazard for walcott this week (already have mata). Rafa has been rotating all over the shop but surely he has to start playing his strongest 11 more regularly.
Do ye think the spanish right back (cant spell!!) will get both games or is it likely for luiz back beside cahill and ivanovic to right back?

Well unless ya plan on getting Walcott again for the DGW next week. Hard to know with Azpil, I'm in the same boat. Terry will play I'd say vs Soton with any of Azpi;, Ivan or Cahill dropping out.

Have you got a bit of cash in the bank or something?

The defense is maybe a bit light... Is offloading one of the goalies an option? Say downgrade to a guy you have no intention of ever starting for 3.9 mill and then beef up the defense to include say Cameron off Stoke, or a cheapish big club defender like Sagna, Gibbs or Zabaleta?

I only have 0.2 left, I want to keep Jussi for the DGW but I start Begovic the majority of the time so I dont know to be honest.

Have 4 Chelsea players. If I don't make any transfers this week, can I still get points from all 4?

It's a tricky one alright but I think the goalie route is one to bear in mind. Say you dump Begovic and pocket approx 5.2(give or take a bit depending on when you bought him), downgrade to some chap for 3.9, you'll have 1.5 to play around with. Bring in Cameron off Stoke for 4.9 or 5m.

Upgrades your defence, gives you a small bit more cash to tinker with your team, and perhaps more importantly avoids any regret you may have selling Begovich by bringing in a lad whose points tally corresponds almost perfectily with Bego. Good plan, eh?........................<insert picture of tumbleweed>

yep but your next transfer has to be one of those moved out

What's the buzz with the lack of movement in players prices this week by the way? Have they raised the amount of transfers needed or what? Fellaini and Harte and a few others are surely due a rise at this stage.

Ok, need some advice on a transfer for this week. I'm not wildcarding, and have 0.4 in the bank (thought I had more, but oh well), and 1 FT.

    Current midfield is:
    Michu - Puncheon - Cazorla - Silva - Bale

I have Ba up front, but he's my only Chelsea coverage, and I'm worried about what they could do in a DGW.

So want to swap a midfielder in. Annoyingly, I'm 0.1 short of the obvious Mata in for Silva transfer. I think Silva is the one that has to go, as I want to keep the others for various reasons.

I could get Hazard or Lampard in for Silva. And next week I would move them on for Walcott. Is this my best option?

Fellaini and Bales prices were frozen for a while there. Plus there was rumours about Fellaini moving to Chelsea. I think there's a lack of certainty over certain players: Torres and Ba for example. Will Rafa play Mata for both games? Harte has been playing, but I don't think he's a nailed on starter, so I won't ber getting him.

Lampard seems like a nice semi outside the box choice, especially since he's probably in "playing well out of spite mode" at the moment.

Other options - Fellaini? Double down on Spurs v QPR by putting in Lennon?

You will definetly need to beef up that Defence. As has been said you will have to downgrade one of your Goalkeepers. How much did you pay for Jussi and Begovic, do you have them since earlier in the season or did you get them in with the wildcard?

You might have to downgrade Ba or Suarez also. You need to ask yourself will Ba's gametime suffer with the competition/rotation from Torres and will Suarez keep scoring points with the arrival of Sturridge.

Its fine having them when you have a good defence but one of them mite have to be sacrificed to make improvements at the back.

Thanks. I've been chancing my arm getting in guys who I thought might jump .2 this week and ditch them at the last second while pocketing the dough, been sorely disappointed so far anyway.

It's too late in the season for making serious money in that kind of way. That usually only works while people are still interested during the first international break around gw4. Now, all the big guns (Rvp, etc) are owned by most players still bothering with the game so price swings are less extreme.

Ive decided to downgrade the downgrade the keeper & Ba as suggested and bulk up the defence & midfield slightly, brought in Zabaleta & Cameron so hopefully this will work.

For the next 2 weeks which would be the better option?

    Bale (qpr MUN)
    Fellaini (SWA sou)

Gonna go with Hazard this week, and cazorla the week after for one of the midfielder spots before settling on the long term midfield that many have of Michu Fellaini Mata Bale Walcott.

Actually, would I be mad to consider Ramirez instead of Hazard for this week? Kind of fancy him. Or would Lampard be worth considering?

Who to put in goal Begovic home to Chelsea or Bunn home to Newcastle?

Will I play Puncheon (dgw) or Pienaar?

At the moment I have Puncheon and Bunn playing but doubting myself.

Begovic for me. Dont think anybody would be surprised if Stoke kept Chelsea scoreless. Norwich have not kept a clean sheet in their last 9 gameweeks.

Puncheon or Pienaar is a tough one. Puncheon mite be worth the gamble with the double-gameweek. Really hard one to call, go with your instinct and it wont feel as bad if it does not work out.

Go with your gut. I'd expect both goalies to concede but Newcastle are probably the least likely to score.

I think Puncheon's 2 point headstart, the fact he's playing Villa, and that you're getting a bonus 90 mins against Chelsea for him to sneak something is enough to warrant a start ahead of Pienaar...
