Oh it's said all right on those naff women's magazines like Take A Break, and you know those Facebook quotes and updates about "real women", and then shows like Loose Women. But these hardly represent society in general. Most people know the above stuff is just deluded silliness.
I'm not referring to women who have just a bit of extra weight by the way, but having stones to lose isn't anything to celebrate.

NSFW: Article contains pictures of naked ladies, morbidly obese naked ladies. Don't say you weren't warned!

    I agree. :)

But I don't think the majority of people describe obese people as curvy. Hence his opinion wouldn't be an unpopular one. :pac:

BusyMum is a "he" now? That's certainly going to be an unpopular opinion! :D

And airbrushed to bits. I'd say in real life she's less than impressive.

What chance? I wouldn't worry unless your OH had HIV that she could pass on through it. Breast feeding is far better for the baby in terms of nutrition, bonding and developing their immune system.

Bottle feedimg is best opotion. Why should the women ruin her boobs when she can just bottle. Man happy, baby happy and mammy doesn't need to wear clothes during sex to cover saggy boobs. Win win
I'd say either your trolling or an ignorant 16 years old with that opinion.
And women lose baby fat really quickly if they breast feed

I'm totally OK with abortion-on-demand, up to 18 weeks.

Didn't Dove have to withdraw one of their 'Real women' ad campaigns. They were criticised for using overweight women to promote their beauty products while marketing them as 'real', 'curvy' etc.
If I were to call any of those women unattractive it would be an unpopular opinion, among women anyway. Trust me!

@the poster who said they didn't want their OH breast feeding. Breast feeding is the best method of feeding for mum and baby but will also save YOU doing nightfeeds, washing, sterilising and preparing bottles.
A c-section is major abdominal surgery. She will not be able to lift, bend or drive for several weeks. You might want to think about that too

It's called unpopular opinions for a reason. I was just sharing my thoughts. Maybe my opinion will change in the future, who knows. If u don't like my opinions then start a popluar opinion thread and I won't post there!

I knew about the campaign to have one of their adverts withdrawn on the grounds of subliminal racial stereotyping, but I hadn't known about the overweight women one!

    Some more interesting info here-

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dove_Campaign_for_Real_Beauty

The campaign has been criticized on the grounds that Unilever also produces Fair and Lovely, a skin-lightening product marketed at dark-skinned women in several countries. It was also widely noted that Unilever brand Lynx's advertising campaign would seemingly contradict the sentiment of the Campaign for Real Beauty.

Moreover, Unilever owns and markets their AXE brand of hygiene products, where overtly sexualized women are its campaigning staple. This strategy is starkly hypocritical in contrast to Dove's campaign for "Real Beauty", as AXE utilizes "idealized" female sexuality to market AXE products towards young men.

It's also a discussion forum and people can disagree with your opinion if they think its idiotic.

pensioners have unjustly been shielded since the rescession began and are over indulged , the latest is this nonesense about them having to buy their own house alarms , big deal i say , thats what money is for , spend it

im watching a discussion on newsnight right now about how britian spends too much on pensioners , the old age pension in the uk is half what the elderly get here , its 102 pound per week for a single person and 169 for a couple , here its 230 for a single person and 460 for a couple

Whatever about younger pensioners, most elderly people deserve protection and appreciation. We'll all be them one day - find it strange when people decades younger than them have a problem with provisions for them. No empathy at all.

"You'd" rather not take what chance? What if she wants to? Her choice surely.

do you think a thirty something in 2013 will unconditionally recieve what those in their late sixties and seventies get today ?

    they wont

ninety thousand pensioners are on the non contributory ( 219 per week ) , they concievabley never paid any contribution during their working lives

even those on the contributory will draw down farm more than they put in , the threshold for prsi payments was very low and only needed to be paid for a relativley short number of years

Definitely. If they need a hot girl in a T.V. show they use one that isn't that hot. Then if they need a girl that isn't that hot they usually just tape a bunch of cats together.

Mmhmm... The BBC clearly haven't done their homework again. I knew those figures didn't sound right-

Single person state pension in Ireland: €92 - €230 p/w, depending on how many PRSI contributions they've made.

    Additional dependents: €61 - €153 p/w

So that'd be a max of €383 for a couple, both over 66, by my calculations. That's a long way short of €460.

    Source: http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/older_and_retired_people/state_pension_contributory.html

The UK system works way differently, but the least you'll get as a single person is £142 p/w, and a couple will get £217.

    Source: https://www.gov.uk/pension-credit/what-youll-get

That's not even taking into account the vast economic differences between Ireland and the UK, nor the additional benefits available to pensioners in both countries, but suffice to say I for one wouldn't deny them a cent nor a penny, plus I find it a ridiculous anomaly that if you are a single pensioner you are entitled to an alarm installation, but a pensioner couple is not entitled to an alarm installation even though they would be just as vulnerable.

You may want to check those figures again. It was all re-jigged in the 2013 budget.

Breastmilk is considered the most beneficial form of sustenance for a newborn, and if a mother can provide it (a lot of women find it too difficult/painful - but yay, at least their boobs stay looking good... ish... after the effect of pregnancy and birth on them) she's going to be more concerned about her newborn baby's diet than how her boobs look. Crazy, I know.
Women often express their breastmilk into bottles for feeds later on but they're not always going to have the time and energy to perform that rather gruelling and longwinded task, so instead... just lob it in. Handy when you haven't had a proper sleep in weeks.
Breastmilk is better than formula milk, no questions there but breastfeeding is not always the better option. Plenty of mothers struggle to breastfeed, have PND, find it easier if other people can take turns feeding the baby etc. The fanatical stances both sides take is really mind boggling. If you breastfeed, brilliant. Don't expect a medal. You still have roughly 18 years to get through before your little bundle of joy becomes an emotionally stable, functioning member of society and breastfeeding isn't the only thing you are going to have to do. If you don't breastfeed, it's not the end of the world. Feeding your child formula milk is not like forcing battery acid down their throats. They will survive, unless they are allergic and you still have other options. BTW, the happy medium where women express milk doesn't always work either. Don't sweat it. If the breastappo give you a hard time, tell them to mind their own business. If you do manage to raise an emotionally secure, productive member of society, whether or not you breastfeed or bottle feed them, well done :)

You said nothing of the sort - all you went on about was the woman keeping her boobs looking good for her fella...

Paddy Cow, I acknowledged there are women who are unable to breastfeed and that there's nothing wrong with that.
But if a woman wants to breastfeed and is able for it, but her partner won't "allow" her because it'll ruin her boobs? Wo... disturbing.

The Tom Cruise haters can feck off

Saw his new film and he is still the man

But he's a creep? But his religion?
I'm watching the actor, you must be buying celebrity magazines and gossiping in the hairdressers if you care about such things
