Looking to pick up a new MP3 player

Hey all,

I'm looking into picking up a new MP3 player/media player and I was wondering what you guys have/would advise to get?

I haven't picked up one in years, so a little unsure about what's the better these days.

Apple is out of the question.

What are you looking for in an mp3 player ?
What's your budget ?
Something small say flash storage 8-32GB or something with a larger hard drive?
Would you like sd card storage ?

Thanks for the reply. I'd ideally like an MP3, but if it played video - that's a bonus. Budget would be about €130.

HDD wouldn't be the biggest issue, as I'd be looking to expand via MicroSD - sorry, should have included all that jazz

If it were me I'd look at the sansa line of players.
SD card slots. Rockboxable, good sound quality, small. The fuze and fuze+ can play video the Clip+ and Clip zip are fine small players.

Other recommend the Sony players. I've never had one so I'm sure someone will come along and give you info on that.

one thing about the fuze is that video files will need to be converted. it will play avi but only a special type. if you really want to watch vids on a player best to get one which doesn't require converting. sansa clip is great for music alone tho - only failing is not great battery life (about 10 -12 hours in real-world use).
