Cool have to go there, looks nom! Not bach to college proper until Oct...

You might be a music student, but that was beyond awful.
The Café BonBon is nice though. Plus they have macaroons on a plate in the window. And they sell NERDS! And a bagel lady works there. Maybe even two bagel ladies.

Ahem, no more bagel lady talk.
I got a scone there, it was delicious, and came with jam *and* butter *and* cream.
And the tea is served in china cups! How kawaii!
yes, Café BonBon gets a thumbs up!

Yeah it's nice, if a little twee.

Still prefer the Mill Wine Cellar for coffee.

ah, its right next to the rip in the fabric of space and time that brings you back to when video rental stores where viable businesses.

I never noticed it in there.

I got my PS3 there, broke in first month and I had already lost the receipt somehow, they searched the till for records and I got a free replacement.

I make sure to throw my business that way now, they are usually fairly competitive for things like games anyway.

    Modern students..... Eughhh.

When I started back in 2002 it was brown pisswater from a foam cup all the way. And for the first semester we were still able to melt smiley faces into them with our smokes INSIDE.

I wonder if there's a coffee-themed version of the 12 Pubs of Christmas. :pac:

I used to buy coffee every day at the college, now i bring in a flask. To be honest, it tastes much better. Coffee in bewleys and o'briens is always weak without paying for an extra shot and i can make mine strong and nice and it's saves me a fortune.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

In fairness, O'Brien's is arguably worse.

Both of them serve overpriced terrible coffee, but only one of them has a cult following among pretentious daddys money asshats and talentless artists trying to be cool.

I think Greens do the nicest coffee. They even do a design in the cappuccino when pouring in the milk.

Got a Large Americano + extra shot today, their coffee is very bitter compared to other places. No wonder they have to dress it up as desserts. I'll take my french press over it any day. And god knows why they have to name them such pretentious names. Venti? **** off.

Venti, it's Italian for 20.. I'm imagining that the amount of liquid in a Venti could be 20 fluid ounces ( since it's an American company)..
Either that or they're trying to sound poncy, who knows.. :pac:

Also, should've pointed out earlier that JellyBeans' guess was correct. There is 20 fl. oz in a venti cup.

At least O Briens, Bewleys and wherever else you have on your campus are all Irish. Not to mention the small independent coffee shops in the town - if there are (m)any of these left? The quality of the coffee in some of these can, admittedly, be vile, but why not make suggestions in those that might have potential? Many struggling small business owners are only too happy to make changes for their regular customers. I've had some excellent cups of coffee in various independent coffee shops around the country in recent years, and my friends and I regularly meet in one near us where the staff take a pride in making specialist coffees to perfection. I only go to Starbucks in places like airports when there is no other choice and have not been impressed by their coffee. Maybe I was just unlucky with the barista that served me.

Go to Starbucks if you want, just don't complain when they have the monopoly and that's your ONLY choice. Don't be taken in by their 'commitment' to Fair Trade either (see link below). Like many multinationals, their success is built on widespread human exploitation and clever brand marketing.
