    Morning all..

Jeez, this sickness is doing the rounds of tGc, please don't give it to me :(

Thanks for all the kind words folks :) I'm gone home now anyway so its:

    - Tea. Check
    - Sweatpants. Check
    - Xbox. Check

I'll be fine I'd say :D Still annoyed that I'll miss training but how bad, Wednesday will be good :)

I went out for a bite to eat with a friend last night. The waiter was very tall, dark and handsome *swoon* until he spilled an entire bowl of soup in my lap...yuck! Luckily I was wearing very dark jeans, otherwise it would have looked like I'd had an accident :o I smelled like soup for the rest of the night til I got home to take a shower :D

If women smelled more like soup the world certainly wouldn't be worse off for it imo :pac:

Hope you enjoyed the meetup with your friend!

It takes me until Tuesday to 'get back into work' so you aren't missing too much.

The thoughts of looking for a new job are making me feel rotten.
Best of luck with it man, hopefully there's plenty available in your industry :)

Are you starting from scratch or looking to move away from where you are currently if you don't mind me asking?

Ah no, the pong in the car on the way home was overpowering, I couldn't wait to get the smelly jeans off me :D

I'm glad you're home, it's amazing how much better you can feel just by putting on your pjs/sweatpants and knowing you don't have to be anywhere :)

Today was the first day in the last two weeks that I didn't wake up with some kind of symptoms. I'm worn out from it. I thought my throat was trying to escape. Good old TCP did it's stinky, stingy trick finally.

And D'Agger, hope you're using your sick time to play something decent on XBox and clear your backlog.

Not starting from scratch no. I could get a job no hassle if I moved to Dublin but there isn't many Java dev roles where I am right now unfortunately.

    And yes I am a lady :)

Evening all. Greetings from Planet Tiredness. I don't mind the morning part of commuting, or the darkness, but public transport is fun...

Anything good on the kindle, Pem? I've just started Life of Pi.

What's the cure for cold sores these days - vitamin C, rub a cat on your head..?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,404 ✭✭✭✭Pembily

I'm reading Game of Thrones, the first one. Thankfully I have it hard copy :)

    Public transport is appalling!!

Lysine. Bucket loads of it. You'll get it in most pharmacies or health food shops. It really is brilliant :)

Just watched episode one of series one of Game of Thrones with my friend earlier, I really liked it! The only catch is it's his boxset in his house :D

I can vouch for the magical effects of lysine. Unfortunately Malawi is not big on the health food sector! So bucket loads of acyclovir it is!
