Best coffee for De Longhi Icona ???

Just wondering if anyone has advice on best coffee for the De Longhi Icona machine. Got one for Christmas and am still playing around with it. Don't have any ESE Pods at home either - whats best for this type of machine a freshly ground coffee or Pod ????

Yeah happy with the machine itself though still on the hunt for that special coffee blend but will get there. Machine itself is simple to use, though a little bit noisy but they all make some noise I suppose..... Milk froths up well & machine is easy to clean & looks well too!

Thanks, ended up with a different delonghi machine....so now I'm on the hunt for some decent coffee too! Have you found anything good yet? I used the Lavazza medium but it's not strong enough for me.
